Specifying the wrong system is the most common reason waterproofing and paintwork fails early. Here is how we choose.
A fibreglass or polyester mesh is embedded between coats of elastomeric acrylic. The mesh bridges hairline and future movement cracks instead of tearing over them — this is the system most of our factory and residential clients choose.
Heavy-duty bituminous sheet membrane torch-bonded to a primed deck, with overlapped and sealed joints. Highest resistance to standing water.
A joint-free elastomeric polyurethane coating with very high elongation. Ideal on complex terraces with many penetrations, pipes and irregular corners.
No membrane survives standing water indefinitely. We re-screed to establish fall toward outlets and rebuild khurras and drain mouths before any membrane goes down.

It depends on the system. Mesh-reinforced acrylic, torch-applied APP membrane and PU coatings sit at different price points, and the condition of the existing slab decides how much preparation is needed. We give a fixed per-sq-ft rate after a free site inspection — no open-ended billing.
A typical independent house terrace takes three to five days including surface preparation, curing between coats and a wet test. Larger factory roofs are scheduled around your operations.
Yes — a written warranty, with the duration depending on the system specified. We also re-scan with the thermal camera after a wet test before handover.
Surface preparation and membrane application both need a dry substrate, so we schedule around rain. Emergency leak arrest with PU injection grouting can be done in wet conditions.

Most waterproofing fails because the contractor treated the stain, not the source. We run a thermal imaging survey first — an infrared camera reads surface temperature differences to reveal where moisture is actually travelling inside your slab or wall. You get a diagnosis report before anyone touches a chisel.
An untreated Chennai terrace can reach well over 60°C in summer, and that heat radiates straight into the rooms below. A solar-reflective cool roof coating reflects most of that radiation instead of absorbing it — and the better systems waterproof at the same time.
